The Moon is such a dark place of discovery. Here are some awesome facts that you might find interesting.
The moon is made out of solid rock that's super hard. If you go into the moon's shadow you will freeze. Only 12 people have walked on the moon.The first person to walk on the moon was Neil Armstrong.
The moon phases are new moon, crescent gibbous then full moon then back to new moon. The moon orbits the earth. Also the moon is smaller than the earth. It takes a month to orbit the earth.
The moon has more than 100 craters, wow!The moon is our only satellite.
The average distance from us to the moon is 384,403 km AWAY!!!!!

I really like your hook in because it really hooked me in with how powerful it sounded. Your hook in sounded great. I put in stuff about Neil Armstrong too! How did you remember the moon was 384,403 km away from us?
